working with the Barnwood builders
Matt Williams, owner of Red Oak Construction, had the opportunity to work with the cast of the Barnwood Builders to give a second life to an old barn in the Bitterroot Valley. The Barnwood Builders is a home improvement show focused on taking old barns that were once beautiful and now in disarray, stripping them to the materials that can still be usable, and rebuilding them to be structures that carry on the story of its origin while breathing new life into the antique materials.
Matt aided the cast in taking the bones of a barn in the Bitterroot Valley and using them to build a new barn in the Wise River / Big Hole Valley area. Matt enjoyed this project not only because he enjoys the work he does, but also because this barn was constructed to house programs for veterans through Project Healing Waters at The Freedom Ranch for Heroes.
